Academic Standards
At Shanmuganathan Engineering College, students are expected to adhere to high academic standards, demonstrating commitment to their studies and maintaining a responsible approach to their education. The following guidelines outline the expectations:
Mandatory Test Attendance
Students must attend all tests and show consistent academic progress. Absenteeism during tests is taken seriously and is not tolerated. In cases of unauthorized absence, parents will be called to meet with the Principal to provide an explanation for their ward’s absence.
Timely Submission of Laboratory Records
Students must submit their laboratory records on time after completing each experiment. This ensures that students stay on track with their coursework and maintain a high level of responsibility in their practical work.
Strict Action Against Malpractice
Any student found engaging in malpractice during tests, model exams, or University Examinations will face disciplinary action as per university guidelines. Such actions are viewed as serious violations and will be dealt with accordingly.
Eligibility for University Examinations
Regular attendance in tests and satisfactory performance are critical for students to be permitted to sit for the University Examinations at the end of each semester. Students must show regular participation and progress to qualify.
Laboratory Uniforms and Safety
Students are required to wear laboratory uniforms during practical classes. Shoes must be worn when necessary to ensure safety during laboratory work.
