This department is the backbone of the entire engineering education process and it efficiently supports the engineering departments by providing high quality training in basic Science and English. This department has Mathematics, Physics, Chemistry and English under its canopy.

English department works to enhance the communication skills of the students at different levels. A state of the art communication skills laboratory is available along with trained faculty members. Physics department has a spacious laboratory where experiments such as particle size determination using laser beams, spectrometric, thermal and properties of matter studies are conducted. Chemistry department has a laboratory equipped with all analytical instruments required for the conduct of laboratory experiments.

Similarly, workshops are well equipped to conduct Electrical and Electronics Engineering experiments in addition to regular Carpentry, Welding, Fitting, Foundry, etc. The department has excellent and well equipped computer laboratory with the latest versions of software and hardware exclusively for the use of first year students
