Hostel Rules

Students wishing to reside in the hostel must submit a formal application using the prescribed form, which should be handed over to the hostel warden. The hostel offers a disciplined and supportive environment where students can focus on their academic and personal growth. Below are some key rules and regulations that all hostel residents must follow:

Hostel Fee Payment

Students must pay the full hostel fee before joining. Failure to do so will result in denial of accommodation. Payment in installments is not allowed, and students are expected to clear all dues in advance.

Study Hours

Study hours in the hostel are from 06:30 p.m. to 07:30 p.m. and from 08:30 p.m. to 10:30 p.m. except on Saturdays. During this time, students are required to remain in their rooms, focusing on their academic work, and avoid group discussions. Net hours are from 06:00 p.m. to 07:30 p.m.

Leave from Hostel

Permission to leave the hostel is ordinarily granted once a month on holidays. In addition, students are not permitted to leave based solely on a phone message. Phone calls from outsiders, other than parents, are strictly prohibited. Parents are encouraged to provide a list of authorized visitors or local guardians. Any visitors not listed must have authorization from the parents or prior approval from the Principal.

Mess Timings

The hostel mess operates at fixed hours to ensure timely meals for all residents. The timings are as follows:

Breakfast: 08:00 a.m. to 09:00 a.m.
Lunch:As per the college timetable
Tea: 04:30 p.m. to 05:15 p.m.
Dinner: 07:30 p.m. to 08:30 p.m.

Returning Home

Students are generally allowed to return home only when the college is closed for two consecutive days or more. Those going out for day trips to the city or returning to their hometown for holidays must register their departure and expected return times in the hostel logbook.

Attending Family Functions

Students who wish to attend family functions, such as weddings, will only be granted permission if the request is made directly by their parents to the Principal.

Local Guardians

Local guardians authorized by parents are expected to offer moral support and check on the welfare of the student. They may visit during official visiting hours but are not permitted to allow students to stay overnight in their homes.

Expulsion for Misconduct or Non-Payment

Students who fail to pay hostel dues on time or who are found guilty of misbehavior or misconduct will face expulsion from the hostel.

Prohibition of Mobile Phones and Electronic Gadgets

The use of mobile phones and electronic gadgets is strictly prohibited within the hostel and campus to maintain discipline and ensure a distraction-free environment.
