Faculty Development Programme on NEP 2020 and NAAC Reforms

Shanmuganathan Engineering College successfully organized a Faculty Development Programme (FDP) on 17.7.25 & 18.7.25 on National Educational Policy (NEP) 2020 and NAAC Reforms, with the objective of equipping faculty members with comprehensive knowledge on the evolving landscape of higher education and quality assurance.
The programme was presided over by Dr. KL. Muthuramu, Principal, who emphasized the importance of NEP 2020 in redefining academic standards and encouraged faculty to take an active role in implementing its vision.
The FDP sessions were handled by Dr. Ragavan, a distinguished academician from Chennai, who delivered in-depth insights on the core themes of NEP 2020, including holistic and multidisciplinary education, academic flexibility, and integration of skill-based learning. He also elaborated on the latest NAAC reforms, including the revised Quality Indicators Framework (QIF), Outcome-Based Education (OBE), and best practices for improving institutional performance.
The programme provided a valuable platform for faculty members to discuss, interact, and align their teaching methodologies with the national educational goals, reinforcing the institution’s commitment to continuous quality improvement.
