Guest Lecture on Advancements in Electronics held at Shanmuganathan Engineering College.
The Department of Electronics and Communication Engineering (ECE), in association with the Internal Quality Assurance Cell (IQAC) of Shanmuganathan Engineering College (SEC), organized a specialized guest lecture on February 28, 2026. The event was part of the college’s ongoing initiative to provide students with exposure to global technological trends and expert academic insights.
The keynote speaker for the day was Dr. T.S. Murugesh, Associate Professor at the Government College of Engineering, Srirangam, Trichy. A seasoned expert in the field, Dr. Murugesh addressed the students on the evolving landscape of electronic systems and the critical skills required to excel in the competitive engineering sector. His lecture highlighted the integration of modern research with practical industrial applications, sparking significant interest among the attendees.
The program commenced with a formal welcome address by Dr. A. Muthu Manickam, Head of the ECE Department, who underlined the importance of continuous learning beyond the classroom. Mrs. D. Sasikala, Assistant Professor, then introduced the chief guest to the gathering, noting his academic achievements and contributions to the engineering community.
The lecture saw active participation from third and final-year students, who engaged in a Q&A session regarding future research prospects and industry expectations.
The event concluded with a vote of thanks proposed by Ms. P. Swetha, Third-year Student Vice President, who thanked the management and faculty for facilitating the session.
