Over 200 Students Secure Placements at 'Naan Mudhalvan' Job Fair in Shanmuganathan Engineering College, Thirumayam.
Over 200 students received appointment orders during a state-level mega job fair organized under the Tamil Nadu government’s flagship ‘Naan Mudhalvan’ scheme at the Shanmuganathan Engineering College in Arasampatti, near Thirumayam, on 9-05-2026, Saturday.
The event, held in collaboration with the Tamil Nadu Skill Development Corporation (TNSDC), saw enthusiastic participation from engineering graduates across Pudukkottai district.
Inaugurating the fair, Dr. KL.Muthuramu, Principal of Shanmuganathan Engineering College, emphasized the importance of industry-readiness among rural students.
Earlier, Dr. Anto Aloysius, the college Placement Officer, welcomed the gathering.
Special guests included Mr. Anbazhagan Pudukkottai District Project Manager for 'Naan Mudhalvan', along with project assistants Mr. Jayakumar and Mr. Prabhu Addressing the aspirants, the officials highlighted how the state government’s initiative is bridgeing the gap between academic learning and industrial requirements, significantly enhancing the employability of Tamil Nadu's youth.
More than 17 leading private firms participated in the recruitment drive, including MRF, TVS Training Services, Motherson Group, Lucas TVS, Rane Automotive.
Human Resource officials from these organizations conducted multiple rounds of assessments, including technical tests and personal interviews. By the end of the day, over 200 candidates who demonstrated exceptional skills were handed spot appointment letters.
The fair was coordinated by the college’s Training and Placement Cell in conjunction with the 'Naan Mudhalvan' district team. The proceedings concluded with a vote of thanks by Mr. Karuppiah, Assistant Professor of Mechanical Engineering.
