Colonal. Neeraj Uniyal ,Commander Trichy NCC 2nd Battalion visited our Shanmuganathan Engineering College in Arasampatti, Thirumayam on 16-04-2026.
The Commander was formally welcomed by the College Principal, Dr. KL.Muthuramu.
During his visit, Commander Uniyal inspected the existing NCC infrastructure and the various facilities available on the college campus.
Following the inspection, the college Director (Administration) , Mr.Pichappa, briefed the Commander on the various initiatives undertaken by the institution's NCC wing for the benefit of the student community.
While interacting with the NCC cadets, Commander Neeraj Uniyal highlighted the career advantages of being part of the National Cadet Corps. Key takeaways from his speech include:
NCC cadets have access to numerous job opportunities across various government departments.He emphasized that students holding an NCC 'C' Certificate are eligible for significant concessions and preferences in recruitment.He urged every cadet to aim for the 'C' certificate and mandated participation in special NCC camps.To secure elite career placements, students must maintain a focus on both academics and NCC training.He specifically encouraged students from rural backgrounds to utilize these opportunities to excel in life.
