NCC Commanding Officer's Official Visit
- The National Cadet Corps (NCC) Commanding Officer's official visit to our Shanmuganathan Engineering College was conducted on 28-07-2026 by Colonel Neraj Uniyal, Commanding Officer of the 2 (TN) ARMD SQN NCC, Tiruchy.
- The visit featured a formal Guard of Honour, an inspection of unit records, an interactive session with cadets, and a collaborative meeting with the college principal regarding institutional training standards.
- The Commanding Officer (CO) arrived at the campus at 10.10 am and received a crisp, formal Guard of Honour presented by the senior NCC cadets.
- The college Principal Dr. KL. Muthuramu and the Associate NCC Officer (ANO), Lt. Dr. N. Manikandan, welcomed the CO with a sapling and a brief introduction.
- The CO carefully reviewed and verified all essential NCC records, including cadet attendance registers, training schedules, and social service activity files.
- The CO inspected the college NCC room and storage facilities, providing practical recommendations to improve gear maintenance and display educational charts.
- The CO delivered an inspiring speech focusing on core military values like unity, discipline, character building, and patriotism.
- Cadets actively interacted with the officer, asking questions about career options in the armed forces, upcoming national camps, and strategies to crack the SSB interview.
- The CO praised the high standard of turn-out, the discipline maintained by the cadet company, and the active community development initiatives organized by the unit.
- The visit concluded with a photograph alongside the CO and cadets, followed by an official entry in the college NCC visitor's book.
